We help families in Belize build houses to ensure that families and students have a home that is warm, welcoming and safe.
Before you can think about your future, you need to focus on what you need.
One of our most basic needs is shelter. Shelter provides us with a sense of safety and security, allowing us to seek to meet other needs without concern of where we will sleep at night. For some families in Belize, having a safe and secure place to call home is not available.
With so many families experiencing poverty, living conditions are often minimal at best. Families live in run down homes with holes in roofs and floors, open to the elements and on the verge of collapse. Running water and electricity are a luxury for many families in Belize and if their homes do have access to electricity, it is often extremely unsafe with exposed wires that can cause fires or electrocution.
Safety and security must be met before families, especially children, can focus on getting an education to change their journey.
That is why we help families in Belize build houses to ensure that families and students have a home that is warm, welcoming and safe. To date, we have had the opportunity to help one family with repairs to their home, ensuring that the house was safe and livable for all who dwelled there. Our goal is to travel the country of Belize and assist families in need in different towns and villages.
